I am currently trying to find 3-4 roomates to get on a new year long lease with me starting 9/1. My three roomates are all moving out and I really want to stay in this house.
The house is on just off of College Ave, on a very quiet street, very close to the T, semi-furnished.

grammar and kanji bits
ただ、その顔ぶれの中でも特に、そのときそこにいたことを覚えている者ほど、七年経った今でも、わりと親しい。
What does the underlined part mean? If it were just もの I'd think it was some sort of nominalizer + ほど, and if the ほど weren't there I'd think the 者 was referring to the people there (which I still do). I dunno, that bit's confusing me.
And while I'm here, does anyone know of any good resources that compare kanji with similar meanings as well as readings, such as 見る and 観る, 聞く and 聴く, 会う and 逢う, etc?
Finally, is it legitimate to write 。。。 instead of ．．． or ...? Because every time I see that it annoys the heck out of me, but I don't want to get all grumpy about it when it turns out that that's perfectly legitimate. (And who knows, maybe ．．． isn't legitimate either, except in manga.)

Free Iced Coffee Day
I just caught this Boston.com article from Tuesday. Here's the first paragraph:
Dunkin' Donuts said it will celebrate its second annual free iced coffee day Thursday, and the likely result is that the chain will serve nearly 4 million cups of iced coffee to customers nationwide that day.

New CSA in East Somerville
I had posted before about Boston-area farm shares. For those of you who wanted to join a CSA but didn't sign up soon enough, there's another option opening up in East Somerville. Summary:
Receive 8 to 18 pounds of vegetables every Wednesday.
Two person and four person shares are available for $20 and $30/week, respectively. Payment can be made quarterly instead of in a lump sum.
There are 3 vegetable share options: Traditional New England, Brazilian and Central American.
In order to facilitate the sharing of these large shares, there will be a 'speed sharing' event. The gathering will allow people to find a match for co-buying a share. Farmer Dave himself will be at this event on Wednesday, May 21st at the newly opening Rodizio at 127 Broadway, from 6:30 - 7:15.

annoying n00b question
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to make Kaylee's mechanic costume for an up-coming Con on the 30th (cutting it close I know) and I wanted to know of a place I could get a nice pair of cheap cover-alls shipped to Australia before then.
I've been looking at these three here on eBay but I'm a little worried that I'd have to take them in heaps and they generally won't fit me. I'm quite petite, I'm 5'2" and have a fairly average build.

Davis Sq T-station artwork lj icons
Since the MBTA changed the photo last year I've always wanted to shoot a composite/panorama of the big artwork display in the Davis Square T station. Not that it ever happened :D
But at least I took some photos of the newly installed artwork yesterday and created lj icons. If anyone wants to grab any of these feel free to do so. Larger versions can be found here.
